We are excited to share that Kory Jeffrey and Taha Mubashir have been promoted to Partner on the Venture Investment Team.
This marks an important milestone for Inovia. Today, we operate across three investment strategies — Discovery, Venture, and Growth. In recent years, our Venture team has been driving strong early-stage investment momentum in AI, cybersecurity, fintech, digital health, future of work, and infrastructure & developer tools.
Kory and Taha have been central to building this momentum, shaping our investment theses, and championing several of our strongest recent deals. They have also contributed meaningfully to Inovia’s culture and are emerging as role models for the next generation of investors and leaders at the firm.
About Kory
Kory joined Inovia in 2022 as an Investment Principal, bringing deep product, engineering, and AI expertise into our technical diligence and thesis development. He has been a key architect of our AI investment thesis and roadmap and led several of our most compelling investments, including Cohere and Spellbook.
Prior to becoming a Partner, Kory served as VP of Platform Tech at Inovia, supporting our portfolio on product innovation, engineering strategy, and complex technical decisions. Before Inovia, Kory was Chief of Staff for Engineering at Google Canada, and previously led Developer Relations for Google across Canada and the Eastern USA. He holds an HBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MA in Philosophy from Queen’s University.
About Taha
Taha joined Inovia in 2022 as a Principal on the Venture Investment Team, bringing more than a decade of experience in finance and technology investing to the firm. He has been a key driver of our investment activity across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and fintech, championing several of our core recent investments, including Flare and Nue.
Prior to Inovia, Taha was a Director within PSP Investments’ Direct Private Equity program, where he sourced and executed technology transactions across North America. He began his career in investment banking at BMO and holds an HBA (Ivey Scholar) from Western University.
With upcoming Discovery and Venture Funds, expanding our partnership reflects our long-term commitment to developing internal talent and building the next generation of investors and leaders inside Inovia, the people who will continue to shape our platform, support our founders, and deliver strong outcomes for our LPs.
We encourage you to watch our recent partnership video to learn more about Kory and Taha.
Please join us in congratulating Kory and Taha on this well-deserved milestone.
