Farnoud is an internationally recognized expert in optics and photonics. He has placed instruments on various telescopes, planetary probes, and the International Space Station. He holds 12 patents, has authored over 60 academic publications, and has been recognized with various academic excellence awards. As an expert in the field of biomedical optics, Farnoud has successfully led the design and development of high-performance medical devices for several companies. He has dedicated the past decade of his life to democratizing highly complex lab-bound medical diagnostic systems for use in point-of-care settings. He founded Vital Biosciences to bring state-of-the-art healthcare to 7.8 billion people.
