Vital is working to invent and simplify diagnostics, ultimately empowering individuals to prevent disease. Vital is in pursuit of deployable technologies that can redistribute control to patients, and empower healthcare professionals in creating better outcomes.

Vasu assembled a unique multidisciplinary team to found Vital Biosciences. In the US, ~13 billion lab tests are performed annually. The vast majority of those are routine lab tests that are inefficient in cost, turnaround times but essential in enabling downstream quality care. We looked at what had been done in the diagnostics world to rethink the core technology and business models to enable decentralized diagnostics and couldn’t be more compelled by Vital’s vision.
