Yoran Beisher

Yoran joined Inovia in May of 2024, and is now supporting the firm’s Discovery Fund, which invests in top emerging VCs across North America and pre-seed founders. His work primarily focuses on surfacing top companies, connecting with star emerging managers, and creating new data processes to help drive new strategies for the fund.

Prior to joining the team, he was a Venture Coordinator at Creative Destruction Lab, a global leading deeptech science accelerator with $28B in value creation, where he supported in leading their Compute and Biomedical Engineering programs. He was also a Venture Analyst at Defined Capital, an early-stage Data and AI fund, where he helped create the fund’s investment thesis, AI white paper, and first series of investments.

Yoran is graduating Bachelor of Commerce from UBC Sauder with a specialisation in Entrepreneurship, and helped create Vancouver’s first student-led VC fund through Front Row Ventures, deploying $150K into three student-led startups. He also lived out of a hacker house in San Francisco as The Residency’s inception cohort.
