While touring University of Waterloo’s Velocity incubator, an Inovia advisor and Karam met Founder & CEO Michael Litt, and were taken aback by how focused he was on solving real business problems as opposed to just building technology. While Michael was down in the Bay Area as part of Y Combinator, we stayed in touch on his progress and we ended up investing in his early seed round. It was a great example of founder-market-fit, combined with a strong vision for the future of video use in online marketing.
Since those early days, the company has developed the most innovative video marketing and video selling tools in the world, integrating with leading marketing automation and CRM platforms and helping companies launch effective marketing campaigns and new video selling strategies. We were pleased to see that in 2018, Vidyard was named one of the top 100 YC companies by valuation.
