Prem Kalevar

Prem joined Inovia’s Venture Team in July 2022 as their first VP Discovery to lead the ramp up of Inovia’s already very successful fund investment program. His work aims to position Inovia as a preferred investment partner for those investee fund managers and select companies in their underlying portfolios.

Prior to joining Inovia, Prem wore numerous hats on the investing side of the Canadian tech ecosystem. He worked with N49P as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Afore Capital as a Venture Product Partner while also actively angel investing and consulting. As an operator, Prem led business-side efforts at Y Combinator backed Whirlscape and helped launch an angel network associated with the University of Waterloo.

Prem graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering, Option in Management Science and Minor in Economics. In his free time, Prem enjoys regular fitness training, playing poker (which he used to do competitively), and spending time with friends and family.
