James Mignacca biography
James is a proven serial entrepreneur and lifelong technology enthusiast with over 20 years of experience in Computer Networking and cybersecurity. He has extensive experience, from penetration testing programs to designing data centres. He also has experience in product management, including vulnerability management software and security operations centres.
James’ Waterloo region tech industry resume includes Sandvine and eSentire, where he has had various roles in sales, business development, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions.
As the CEO of RootCellar Technologies, James took the cybersecurity and disaster recovery company and built a SaaS Risk Management product called RootSecure Technologies. The RootCellar Technologies division was acquired in 2017. James continued to scale the RootSecure Technologies SaaS business by tripling its revenue, and in 2018, successfully sold it to Arctic Wolf for $18M.
Currently, James is the founder and CEO of Cavelo, where he has launched an attack surface management platform designed to consolidate the cybersecurity stack, leading with data discovery and classification, risk management and vulnerability management.
